             Bespoke Cabinetwork and Drawings

       Handmade Furniture

Most of my commissions were

crafted using the finest woods.

Mahogany varieties included;

Cuban, Brazilian, West African

and San Dominican. Rosewood

from Brazil and India.  Satin wood from East Indies and Ceylon. Kingwood, Gaboon Ebony, Madagascar Ebony and

Boxwood for veneers and inlay.

Camphor and South American

Cedar for drawer linings etc.

Always using traditional Cabinet making methods.

         Antique Restoration

Most of my restoration was

carried out using old broken furniture for a source of wood

and veneers. I would go to the

local furniture auctions to bid

on anything useful, occasionally

getting damaged antiques which

I could bring back to use.

Old pianos were a source of Ivory and Ebony from the keys.

Mirrored wardrobe doors I'd make into tilting Cheval glasses.

My clients for Cabinetwork and restoration came from far and wide across the UK and abroad.
